Dan is a lifelong motorsport enthusiast and multi award winning motorsport photographer with a passion for capturing the emotion, intensity and atmosphere of racing at every level. His love of the sport began in childhood, watching races on television with his father, a tradition that sparked a fascination that has only grown stronger over the years.
His photography journey began in 2015 with wildlife photography, where he spent eight years developing the patience, technical skill and eye for storytelling that now define his work. In 2024, he combined his passion for photography with his lifelong love of motorsport, making the move into racing photography and quickly establishing himself within the paddock. He went on to become the official photographer for a BTCC team, documenting everything from the quiet moments before the lights went out to the celebrations after the chequered flag.
Alongside his work at race meetings, Dan also offers private automotive photography sessions for car owners, creating striking, high quality images that celebrate everything from cherished classics and performance cars to carefully built track machines. Every shoot is tailored to the owner, producing photographs that showcase not only the vehicle but the passion and personality behind it.
Dan is known for looking beyond the obvious shot, searching for unique angles and genuine moments that tell the story of a race weekend. Whether it is the determination on a driver’s face, the intensity of a pit stop or the spray flying from a car in wet conditions, his images are created to make people feel as though they were there.
In 2025, Dan expanded his work with the launch of Gridline Press. Built for fans, competitors and newcomers alike, Gridline Press combines in depth motorsport journalism with powerful photography to bring readers closer to the sport. The publication reflects his belief that motorsport is about far more than results. It is about the people, the stories and the moments that make racing unforgettable.
Whether he is trackside photographing championship winning moments, creating bespoke images for private car owners or writing about the latest developments in the sport, Dan’s aim remains the same. To tell authentic stories through photography and journalism, helping people experience motorsport from a fresh perspective, one frame and one story at a time.
